The Money screen is where the money side of your business lives. It opens with what your customers have paid this week, shows where your Stripe account stands and says when Stripe needs something from you, and then has four tabs: your payments, your payment links, your store orders and your payouts. What you pay Bizzly stands in one quiet row above the tabs. This article is a map of the screen. Each part has its own article, linked as we go.
Where to Find This
Open Money in your console. On a laptop it is the last of the screens in the rail, above Team and Settings. On a phone it is a tab on the bar along the foot of the screen, next to More.
The heading Money has, at its right, the circular arrow (Refresh money) and the filled button Payment link, which takes you to your payment links. The button is shown only to a role that may see payment links. On a phone both sit in the bar at the top, and the button shows as its plus mark alone. The search at the top of the screen does not narrow any list on Money: Payments, Payment links and Orders each have a search field of their own above the list.
The arrow reads the screen again and a short message, Money updated, confirms it. The screen also reads itself again after you change something from one of its sheets, and after a change made through Ask or tell Bizzly.
What You See
From the top down:
- A line of figures: Paid to you this week and Refunded, and, only while there is something to show, Failed, Waiting to be paid and To send
- A block headed From Stripe, with a Stripe account row and, only while Stripe needs something from you, a row above it. Administrators see it
- One row, What you pay Bizzly
- Four tabs, Payments, Payment links, Orders and Payouts, with the list for the tab you are on. The screen opens on the first tab you may see, which for an administrator is Payments.
You see a tab only if your role is given it. A role given just one sees that one without a tab bar. See What Your Role Sees below.
Pressing a payment, a link, an order or the Stripe account row opens it in a pane. On a wide screen (about 1,100 pixels or more) the pane opens in a column beside the list. The list stays on screen and the row you opened is marked, so pressing another row swaps what the pane shows. On a narrower window the pane opens over the right-hand edge. On a phone it fills the screen, with a Back button at its top.
On a laptop, each tab arrives with its first row already open in the pane beside the list, so there is something to read at once. On Payments it is the first payment (a store order is passed over, because pressing one takes you to the Orders tab, and a failed plan is never opened by itself), on Payment links the first link, on Orders the first order, and on Payouts, while your bank is connected and paying out, Stripe's list of your payouts. Press the pane's close button and it stays closed. Choosing another tab, or another choice above a list, opens that list's first row. A phone opens nothing by itself, because the pane would fill the screen. The one exception is the Your plan sheet, opened from the What you pay Bizzly row, which always opens over the screen. See How Changes Work for how sheets behave.
On a phone, if the tabs do not all fit, the row slides sideways.
The Figures
The figures stand in one row at the head of the screen on a laptop and two to a line on a phone. Each has its label above, the amount large, and a note under it.
- Paid to you this week is what your customers paid in the week. Under it come the dates the week covers, for example "Mon 26 Oct to Sun 1 Nov", then After refunds when anything was refunded, then what the week before took, such as Last week £1,860.00 or Last week nothing. If you run more than one website it adds Across all your sites, because the figure is for your whole business.
- Refunded is how much went back to customers. Its note says Given back this week, or Nothing refunded this week.
- Failed is what is owed on plans whose payment has failed, with a note such as "3 payments to chase". It appears only while at least one plan's payment has failed, and only for administrators. It counts every plan whose payment has failed, not just the ones the list shows. Press the figure and the Payments tab opens on its Failed choice.
- Waiting to be paid is how many payment links are still waiting for the customer to pay, with a note such as "3 payment links". It appears only while there is at least one. Press the figure and the Payment links tab opens on its Awaiting choice.
- To send is how many paid shop orders you have not sent yet, with a note such as "Paid orders not sent yet". It appears only while there is at least one, and only if your plan includes the shop.
The week and its rules:
- The week runs from Monday to Sunday on your venue's clock.
- It counts what customers paid for plans and packs, the payments that come round each period for a plan, and paid orders from your shop.
- A refund comes off the week the sale was made in, not the week you refunded it. If you refund last week's sale today, last week's figure goes down and this week's does not.
- Stripe's fees are not taken off, and the figure does not say when the money reaches your bank. That is on the Payouts tab.
Home shows the same figure under This week, as Paid to you. See Using Home.
If you have not connected Stripe yet, the money figures are replaced by a card headed Connect Stripe to take payments, which says "Your money needs Stripe so you can be paid." Its Connect Stripe button opens the Bank pane. If Stripe is connected but your business has no currency on record yet, the screen says No currency yet. If the figures cannot be read, it says This week's money could not be loaded.
From Stripe
The block headed From Stripe stands under the figures and above the tabs, so it shows whichever tab you are on. Only administrators see it.
With nothing for you to do, the block is the Stripe account row alone. It says where your Stripe account stands: Connected, Connected, set-up not finished or Not connected, with a sentence under it such as "The account is connected and working." Press it to open the Bank pane.
When Stripe needs something from you, such as more details about your business or a dispute to answer, one more row stands above it, Stripe needs something from you. It says how many things there are to do, such as "2 things to do", and wears a Waiting label. Press it and the Bank pane opens with Stripe's own notice in full at the top, over the heading What would you like to look at?. Everything in the notice is Stripe's.
Payments
The Payments tab lists this week's payments, newest first, twenty at a time. When there is more than one page, Previous, a line such as 21 to 40 of 40 and Next stand under the list.
On a laptop each row reads, from the left:
- the date, such as "15 Oct". The day is said once, here
- who paid, and beside their name what they paid for, such as "Autumn pack". If Bizzly cannot name the person it says A customer. An order from your shop is called Store order
- a Refunded label, a quiet grey one, only when money came back. A payment that is paid and untouched has no label
- the amount, or Free for a sale that took nothing
- an arrow showing the row opens
When only part of a payment came back, a line under the rest says how much, for example "£10.00 refunded". On a phone each row is two lines: the name with the amount at the right, then what it was, the day and the label.
When anything this week was refunded or a plan's payment has failed, choices appear above the list: All, then Failed and Refunded, each only when there is something in it. Refunded shows only the payments that came back. In a week with neither there are no choices and the list is simply the week.
Failed lists the plans whose payment has failed, newest first, each with the day it failed, the customer, the plan, a Failed label and what is owed. When there are more failed plans than the list holds, a line under it says, for example, The newest 40 of 52 failed payments. Older ones are in Stripe. Press one to open a pane headed Failed payment, with the line "Stripe keeps trying by itself. Charge now tries straight away." It shows the amount and a Summary of Person, Plan, Amount, Failed on and Status, which says Payment overdue while Stripe keeps trying and Unpaid once it has stopped. Charge now tries the card saved on the customer's account straight away. It asks first, for example Charge Sam Jones £25.00 now?, and you press Charge or Cancel. A charge cannot be undone from here. A message at the bottom of the screen says Charged, or, if the customer's bank needs them to confirm the payment, Not charged yet: the customer must confirm the payment with their bank. Stripe keeps trying. Message opens the customer's own screen, where you can write to them. It is there only when Bizzly can tell whose plan it is. The same Charge now is on a failed payment in the Needs you sheet, which you open from Home. See Needs You.
To narrow the list, type in the search box above it, which says "Search payments by name or what they paid for". It looks at who paid, what for, the day and the amount, with or without pence. The search at the top of the screen does not narrow this list. A week with no payments yet says No payments this week yet. The list holds the newest forty payments of the week. When there are forty or more, a line says The latest 40 of this week's payments. Older ones are in Stripe.
Press a payment to open its Payment sheet, with its receipt and the place to refund it. A Store order opens on the Orders tab instead. See Viewing Your Payment History and Refunding a Payment.
Above the list, under the search, the row Every payment, in Stripe ("Older payments, refunds and receipts") opens All payments, which is Stripe's own list of every payment you have taken.
If this week's payments cannot be read, the tab says This week's payments could not be loaded. and the Every payment, in Stripe row is still there.
Payment Links
The Payment links tab lists the links you have made for customers to pay. A line at the top says what a link is: "A link holds the places until it is paid. Copy it, show it as a QR code, or send it again." Choose Awaiting, Paid or All. The tab opens on Awaiting when any link is waiting, and on All when none is. The Payment link button at the right of the heading brings you here.
Press a link to open its sheet. While the link can still be paid, you can Copy link, Show QR, Send again (only for a link that went by email or on WhatsApp) or Cancel this link. See Following Up Your Payment Links and, for making one, Giving a Customer a Payment Link.
Orders
The Orders tab lists the orders from your shop. Choose To send, Sent or All. The tab opens on To send when any order is waiting, and on All when none is. Press an order to open it, mark it as sent or cancel it. See Store Orders: Sending, Tracking and Cancelling.
If your Bizzly plan does not include the shop, the tab is a card headed Not in your plan yet that says "Orders is part of a higher plan." and has a See plans button.
Payouts
The Payouts tab is about where your money goes. Your Stripe account row is not on this tab. It is in the From Stripe block above the tabs, where you press it to open the Bank pane, connect Stripe, finish its set-up, and open Stripe's own pages for your account details, payments, balances, statements, payouts and disputes. See Connecting Your Stripe Account, Understanding Your Payouts and Handling Payment Disputes.
While your bank is connected and paying out, the tab has one row, Payouts in Stripe ("When you are paid out"). Press it and Stripe's own list of your payouts opens in a pane (on a laptop it is already open when you arrive). It is Stripe's, so what it shows is Stripe's, although it is set in the same type as the rest of the console. Bizzly adds no balance or payout figure of its own. While your bank is not connected or not set up, the tab has a line instead that says so and points you to Stripe account above, for example "Not connected. Connect Stripe from Stripe account above to be paid out." If Stripe's list cannot show, the tab says Stripe could not show your payouts just now. Reload the page to try again.
What You Pay Bizzly
The What you pay Bizzly row, above the tabs, is about your own Bizzly plan, not your customers' money. It shows the plan's name and the date it renews, for example Renews on 14 Nov 2026. A plan that is running normally has no label. One that is not wears one, such as Payment overdue, Free trial, Paused, Unpaid or Cancelled. If your website is anything but live, one more line says why. With no plan on record the row says No plan on record. Press it to open the Your plan sheet over the screen. See Managing Your Subscription.
Each part of the screen is read on its own. If the plan or the bank cannot be read, only that row says Could not load and the rest of the screen carries on. If the whole screen cannot be read, a message says Your money could not be loaded. (or Your money could not be refreshed. if you already had it on screen) with a Retry button. A role that is refused the screen altogether sees Your role does not include money.
What Your Role Sees
The money figures (Paid to you this week and Refunded), the Payments tab, the Payouts tab and What you pay Bizzly are for administrators only. A team member sees only what their permissions allow, and a tab they may not see is left out altogether.
A role with Change on Payments taken for customers can also copy, resend and cancel payment links, and make them with Payment link. A role with Change on The shop can mark orders as packed, sent or delivered, and cancel them. Someone who can only look sees the sheet and the note "You can look at this, but your role cannot change it. Ask an administrator." To change a role, see Managing Your Team.
A refund made in Stripe is recorded in Bizzly a moment afterwards. If the week's figures or a payment's label have not caught up, press Refresh money.
