What TeamFeePay Is
TeamFeePay is a UK payments and administration platform built specifically for grassroots football clubs: player registration, membership fees and match fees, fundraising, and County FA partnerships, with a headline annual licence that TeamFeePay itself has quoted at both £349 and £499 depending on which of its own County FA pages you read, plus a processing fee on every payment that it does not publish at all. Bizzly, by contrast, is a flat £19 to £49 a month with no platform fee on top of Stripe processing. This page works through both halves of TeamFeePay's bill using only what we could verify on the pages themselves, and is honest about where a generalist platform like kids football club software like Bizzly fits and where it plainly does not.
How TeamFeePay Pricing Works
It is the same two-part shape as most football and kids-activity payment platforms: an annual software licence, plus a fee on every payment collected through the platform. The difference with TeamFeePay is how little of it is actually published anywhere you can check without booking a demo.
Part one: the annual licence, and a genuine reconciliation problem
We went looking for TeamFeePay's current licence fee on the two URLs most often cited for it, teamfeepay.com/pricing/ and teamfeepay.com/pricing-page/. As of September 2026, both return no content: the pricing structure that once lived there is no longer published on the live site, and the homepage carries no figures either. What we could verify instead is TeamFeePay's own copy reused on two County FA partnership announcements. Lincolnshire FA's site, published October 2024, states: “TeamFeePay is available to clubs for just £349 per year.” Nottinghamshire FA's site, published four months later in February 2025, states: “TeamFeePay is available to clubs for just £499 per year.” Both sentences are supplied by TeamFeePay itself to promote its County FA partnerships, and we found no explanation on either page for the £150 difference. It could be a price rise between the two dates, a different rate negotiated per County FA relationship, or inconsistent marketing copy that nobody has reconciled internally. Software directories add a further data point without resolving it: Capterra and GetApp both list TeamFeePay's pricing model as “usage based, per month” starting at £1, a figure that plainly describes the transaction-fee side of the business rather than a real entry-level licence.
Part two: the processing fee, which TeamFeePay does not publish
TeamFeePay's own client terms and conditions confirm that a per-transaction Payment Processing Fee applies, built up from “Payment Processor Fees (including payouts, account setup, verifications); Interchange Fees; Network Costs; Foreign Exchange Fees; and TeamFeePay fees to deliver the Payment Processing Services,” and that in the absence of a written agreement the rate is whatever is currently “in force” under a payment schedule “available upon request” and subject to change at any time. In other words, the rate is not on the website, and TeamFeePay reserves the right to move it. The only public number we could find anywhere is 4.25% + 20p per transaction, and it comes from a comparison page published by a direct competitor, Spond, not from TeamFeePay itself. It matches the £349 figure closely enough to be plausible, but it is a rival's claim about another vendor's pricing, so verify it directly before treating it as fact.
The Licence Fee and Processing Fee at a Glance
| Item | Estimated Cost | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| TeamFeePay licence | £349 to £499 per year | Two different figures appear in TeamFeePay's own published partnership material: £349 per year on Lincolnshire FA's site (October 2024) and £499 per year on Nottinghamshire FA's site (February 2025). Both are quoted verbatim from TeamFeePay-supplied copy on official County FA pages. As of September 2026 TeamFeePay's own pricing.com pages return no content, so there is no current published figure to check either against. |
| Payment processing fee | Not published by TeamFeePay | TeamFeePay's own client terms say the processing fee is set by a "payment schedule available on request" and can change at any time. The one public figure we found, 4.25% + 20p per transaction, comes from a comparison page published by rival Spond, not from TeamFeePay itself, so treat it as a competitor's claim to be confirmed rather than a vendor-published rate. |
| Sign-up or set-up fee | £0 | TeamFeePay markets itself as free to launch and set up, with no sign-up fees. The cost is the annual licence plus the processing fee on money collected. |
| Dispute fee | Up to £50 per case | TeamFeePay's client terms list a dispute fee of up to £50, set by the payment processor and subject to change. A refund is charged the processing fee once, even though it involves two transactions. |
| A website | Not included | TeamFeePay is registration, payments and club administration software, not a website builder. Nothing in its published material or app store listing mentions a public-facing club website. |
| Bizzly Base | £19/month (£190/year) | 50 bookings, 1 calendar, 10 pages, full drag-and-drop website builder, attendance registers, review collection, Stripe payments. No platform fee on top of Stripe. |
| Bizzly Standard | £29/month (£290/year) | 200 bookings, 3 calendars, WhatsApp AI assistant (500 messages), waitlists, free trial sessions, custom profile fields for age-group eligibility, SMS reminders (50), Google Business Profile integration. |
| Bizzly Pro | £49/month (£490/year) | Unlimited bookings and calendars, custom domain, branded email domain, merch store, per-venue pricing, WhatsApp 2,000 messages, 200 SMS/month. 14-day free trial, no card required. |
Two lines in this table carry a caveat and the rest do not. The licence range and the processing rate are both flagged because we could not find either one published on TeamFeePay's current site; everything else, the £0 sign-up cost, the dispute fee and the Bizzly figures, comes from a page we could check directly today.
The Processing Fee in Practice
Grassroots football subs are typically collected a handful of times a season rather than weekly, which changes how a percentage fee bites compared with a weekly booking platform. A club charging 150 players £120 a year in three instalments generates around 450 transactions a year on roughly £18,000 collected. At the 4.25% + 20p figure reported for TeamFeePay, that works out to roughly £765 in percentage fees plus £90 in per-transaction fees, around £855 a year, well above the licence fee itself. At Spond's own published rate of 2.5% + 20p, the same volume costs roughly £450 in percentage fees plus £90 in per-transaction fees, around £540 a year.
None of this is unusual for the category. What is unusual is that TeamFeePay does not publish its rate at all, where Spond, Pitchero and Playpass all publish theirs on their own pricing pages. That asymmetry is worth naming plainly: you cannot model your total TeamFeePay cost from anything TeamFeePay itself has published, only from a licence figure that varies between its own County FA pages and a processing rate that only appears on a competitor's comparison.
What the Licence Fee Does Not Cover
Beyond the processing fee, a few things sit outside TeamFeePay's published scope entirely.
- A website. Nothing in TeamFeePay's published feature pages or its App Store listing describes a public-facing club website. It is registration, payments and administration software; most clubs run a separate site, built on a free platform or paid for separately, alongside it.
- Dispute costs. TeamFeePay's client terms list a dispute fee of up to £50 per case, set by the payment processor and changeable at any time. On a volunteer-run club's budget, one or two chargebacks a season is a real line item worth planning for.
- Foreign exchange and network costs. TeamFeePay's own terms list these as separate components rolled into the processing fee. For a UK-only grassroots club taking payments in pounds from UK parents this rarely bites, but it is one more reason the blended rate is not a single simple percentage you can quote from memory.
Total Cost: A Worked Example
Take a mid-size grassroots club: around 150 players across six or seven age groups, subs of £120 a year collected in three instalments, roughly £18,000 a year moving through the platform across about 450 transactions.
| Item | Estimated Cost | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Annual licence fee | TeamFeePay £349 to £499 · Bizzly Standard £29/mo (£348/yr) | TeamFeePay's two published figures bracket Bizzly Standard almost exactly. The honest reading is that they are close on the licence line alone. |
| Processing on £18,000/year of subs (roughly 450 payments) | TeamFeePay ~£855 (at the reported 4.25% + 20p) · Bizzly ~£342 (Stripe standard ~1.4% + 20p) | This is the line that moves the total. TeamFeePay's rate is a competitor's reported figure, not a published one, so confirm it directly before budgeting against it. |
| A website | TeamFeePay: separate cost elsewhere · Bizzly: included | TeamFeePay has no website module. A club running one alongside it typically pays Wix, Squarespace or a volunteer-built WordPress site. |
| Total annual cost, licence + processing | TeamFeePay ~£1,204 to ~£1,354 · Bizzly ~£690 | On the figures we could verify. The gap is driven almost entirely by the processing rate, which TeamFeePay does not publish and which clubs should get in writing before signing. |
On the figures we could verify, TeamFeePay lands somewhere between roughly £1,204 and £1,354 a year for this club, depending on which of its own two published licence figures applies and on whether the reported 4.25% + 20p processing rate is accurate. Bizzly Standard, at £29 a month plus Stripe's standard UK card rate of around 1.4% + 20p, comes to roughly £690 a year. That gap of £500 to £660 a year is driven almost entirely by the processing rate, the one figure in this whole comparison that TeamFeePay itself has never published.
Where Bizzly Fits
Bizzly is built for a different audience than TeamFeePay: a kids football club, soccer school, academy or holiday-camp provider selling weekly sessions by age group, term packs, memberships, taster sessions and camps to parents, where a website, online booking and subs billing in one system matters more than grassroots club administration. That is exactly how Bizzly's own kids football club software is positioned. Read how a football club works as a subscription business for the underlying model.
A full website and age-group booking, on one bill
Every Bizzly plan, including the £19 Base tier, includes a fully flexible drag-and-drop website editor: the whole public site editable page by page, with 26 components including the booking calendar, plans and packs, a store, testimonials and the customer portal. Custom profile fields let a session be gated by age group automatically, so an Under-9s slot is not bookable for an Under-13 sign-up. Calendars are capped at 1 on Base and 3 on Standard, unlimited on Pro; a club running more than three age groups on separate calendars needs Pro.
Subs, packs and season billing side by side
Bizzly runs rolling monthly plans with booking quotas, prepaid session packs with an expiry, one-off term and holiday-camp packs with mid-window pro-rating for a family joining late, and season subscriptions that auto-roll into the next season with a configurable cancellation policy. Booking is payment-gated: a family can only book what their active plan, pack or credits cover, and a lapsed payment removes booking access automatically. This is subs and session billing for a coaching business, priced flat and published from the outset.
What Bizzly does not do
Be plain about this, because it decides the question for a full grassroots club. Bizzly has no Direct Debit rail, only Stripe card and wallet payments, no FA Full-Time or County FA integrations, and no player registration workflow. If registering players with the County FA or Direct Debit collection is central to why you are looking at software, TeamFeePay is the right tool, not Bizzly.

Which Is Worth It
TeamFeePay earns its price if:
- You run a full grassroots club with league fixtures, player registration and County FA affiliation
- Grants and trusts support, and a dedicated account manager who understands grassroots football, are worth real money to your committee
- You are already a County FA partner club and TeamFeePay is the recommended platform in your area
- Fundraising and lottery tools matter to how your club raises money beyond subs
Bizzly is the better fit if:
- You run a kids football club, soccer school, academy or holiday camp selling sessions, packs and memberships to parents
- You want a website, session booking and subs collection to be one product on one bill
- You want a flat, published price rather than a licence figure that varies between the vendor's own pages
- You want booking access tied automatically to payment, so a lapsed family cannot keep booking sessions
- You want to try the whole product for free before paying, with a 14-day trial and no card required
Look wider if:
Neither is universal. If subs and match-fee collection is genuinely all you need, and County FA integration is not, Spond Club's free platform and published 2.5% + 20p fee is worth comparing directly. Verdict
TeamFeePay's football-specific administration, grants support and County FA partnerships are real and not easy to replicate elsewhere. What is genuinely poor is pricing transparency: its own County FA pages disagree on the annual licence by £150, its current pricing pages return no content at all, and the processing fee that will dominate most clubs' annual bill is not published anywhere by TeamFeePay itself, only reported by a rival. Whatever you are quoted, get it confirmed in writing and ask specifically whether it matches either £349 or £499, because neither figure is something TeamFeePay currently states on its own site.
Bizzly is built for a different kind of business than TeamFeePay: a kids football club, soccer school, academy or holiday-camp provider selling sessions, packs and memberships to parents, where a website, session booking, kids club subscription software for subs collection, and payment-gated booking on one flat fee replace several separate tools.
