A service only becomes bookable when it has both an offering that unlocks it and somewhere it runs. The Create a service flow walks you through both in one pass, so you don't have to remember which screen does what.
Where to Find This
Navigate to Services → Bookings → Booking Management → Overview sub-tab, open Quick actions, then choose Create a service.
You'll also land here from the Let's set up your bookings welcome screen (Set up step by step), and from any suggestion at the top of the Overview that reads "Finish setting up [service name]".
If Your Launch Pack's Setup Hasn't Been Created Yet
Your launch pack comes with a whole booking setup ready to go. If that hasn't been created yet, a panel sits above Booking Management headed Your launch pack's booking setup is ready to create, with a list of exactly what it will make and this explanation:
One click creates everything below — products and pricing in Stripe, services, locations and time slots, seasons, closures and booking allowances. You can fine-tune all of it afterwards.
- Create my booking setup builds the lot. If the list is long you'll see the first eight items and "…and 3 more".
- Discard throws it away, after asking you to confirm: "Discard your template's booking setup? Products, services and schedules from the template will NOT be created. You can still build everything by hand afterwards."
It stays there, on every sub-tab, until you do one or the other — so it can't be lost by accident.
If something goes wrong part-way you're told what, and clicking again picks up where it left off: "already-created items are picked up, not duplicated." If the pack itself needs attention you'll see "The launch pack configuration needs attention before it can be applied" with the reasons listed, and the button is withheld until it's sorted.
The Four Steps
A progress bar across the top shows where you are: 1 · Create, 2 · Pricing & access, 3 · Times & places, 4 · Ready. Completed steps are marked done, and you can click back to any step you've already reached.
- 1
Create
The service editor opens straight away — name, length, group size and how it's delivered. Save it and the flow moves you on automatically. (Everything on this screen is explained in Creating Bookable Services.)
Come back to this step later and it edits the service instead of creating another one; cancelling or saving returns you to wherever you were.
- 2
Pricing & access
The pricing screen appears in place: switch on the memberships and passes that should unlock this service, and set how many sessions each one gets. See Plans & Booking Quotas for what every control does.
When you're done, click Continue to times & places. Not ready to sell it yet? Click Skip — sell it later.
If you haven't connected Stripe, there's nothing to price yet — the flow takes you straight from creating the service to its times, and this step explains why: "Payments aren't connected yet, so this service can't be sold — you can still give it times now and set pricing after connecting Stripe."
- 3
Times & places
Pick a location from the list to open its schedule and add session times for this service — the location editor opens with the service already selected in the slot form, so you only fill in the day, time and capacity. Each row tells you how many times that location already has for this service ("3 times for this service" or "No times for this service yet").
No locations yet? Click Create a new location first — see Creating Locations.
Once at least one time exists, the button changes from Add times to continue to Finish. You can also click Skip for now.
- 4
Ready
A summary confirms whether the service "is ready to book" or "is nearly there", followed by a recap of all three steps — the service and its length, which memberships and passes unlock it, and how many locations and times it has. Each row has a Change link back to that step.
Finishing Up
Whatever's still outstanding gets its own button on the final step:
- Connect Stripe — appears when payments aren't connected yet, so nothing can be sold.
- Set pricing / Add times — jump straight back to whichever step is still incomplete.
- View service — opens the service's own page, where you can review or change Details, Pricing & access and Times & places any time.
Every step saves through the normal editors as you go — and each save is live straight away, so the session times you add here are bookable at once. Leaving the flow part-way never loses work. Click Exit in the top right whenever you like and pick it up later — the Overview will suggest "Finish setting up [service name]", which drops you back at the first step that's still missing something.
If you leave the Pricing & access step with unsaved edits you'll be asked "You have unsaved pricing changes. Discard them?" first.
Knowing Where a Service Stands
Back on the Overview, every service card carries a status chip:
- Ready — an offering unlocks it and it has bookable times
- Needs plan access — it has times, but no membership or pass unlocks it yet
- Needs availability — it can be bought, but customers have no times to book
- Not bookable — both are still missing
Above the cards, up to three suggestions point at whatever is most worth doing next — for example "Add times for 'Beginner Group'" or "Choose who can book 'Beginner Group'". Clicking one takes you straight to the right editor. When nothing is outstanding you'll see All services are ready to book.
