Read your booking schedule back as a calendar, so you can check the times you've set up are the times you meant.
Where to Find This
Services → Bookings → Booking Management → Locations & Hours sub-tab
Calendar Preview lives on the Locations & Hours sub-tab. The Preview Calendar button appears in the top-right toolbar, next to Add Location, once you've created at least one location. Before that, use the Add Location button in the empty state to add your first one.
Everything the preview draws is already live — saving a location publishes its times straight away, so there's no publish step and nothing sitting in a draft. The preview is a way of reading your schedule back, not a staging area.
What Calendar Preview Shows
A visual calendar of:
- Your configured locations and fixed time slots
- Working-hours shading for locations using dynamic availability
- Confirmed customer bookings that have already come in
It's a pre-go-live check, separate from the day-to-day View Calendar and All Bookings tabs you use to manage real bookings.
Always preview after creating or editing a location with fixed slots — it's much easier to spot a class in the wrong hour here than to hear about it from a customer.
Opening and Closing the Preview
- Go to Services → Bookings → Booking Management → Locations & Hours sub-tab.
- Click Preview Calendar (top right, next to Add Location). The calendar opens below your locations list.
- To close it, click Hide Calendar Preview.
The preview window covers 06:00 to 22:00.
Reading the Calendar
- Each location has its own colour, so you can tell slots apart at a glance.
- Fixed slots appear as coloured event blocks with their time, service and capacity.
- Working hours for dynamic locations appear as background shading (individual appointment times are generated live when customers book, so they aren't drawn here).
- Confirmed bookings stand out with a ✓ tick and a deeper green. Click one to see the customer's plan, the attendees and their emails, spots taken, where the booking came from, and a link to open it in Google Calendar.
Click any event to open its details.
Confirmed bookings only appear once your Google Calendar is connected. The available slots you've set up are always shown.
Views
On a computer you can switch between Week, Month and Day views using the buttons in the top right, and move through time with ◀ Previous, Today and Next ▶:
- Week — your day-to-day schedule at a glance; best for spotting time conflicts. Click any day to list its events below the calendar.
- Month — the big picture; click a date to list that day's events below the calendar.
- Day — a single day, hour by hour, with that day's events always listed below the calendar.
The list below the calendar sets out each session's time, event and location in a tidy table — a quick way to read a busy day. In Week and Month view a Clear link hides it again; in Day view it simply follows whichever day you're viewing.
On a phone or tablet, the preview is locked to Day view — the Week and Month switches are available on desktop only, and so is moving a session by dragging it (see below).
Moving a Session From the Preview
On a computer you can drag a class to a different time or resize it by its edges.
These moves are real and immediate. Dragging a class saves the new time to your schedule straight away, exactly as if you'd edited the location — customers see the new time from that moment. There's no publish step and no undo, so drag deliberately, and use Edit on the location for anything more than a nudge.
If the move can't be saved you'll see a message explaining why and the session snaps back to where it was, so what you're looking at is always the real schedule.
Dragging works properly only on a computer. On a phone or tablet a session may appear to move under your finger, but nothing is saved — it snaps back the next time the calendar loads. Use Edit on the location to change a time there.
Troubleshooting
Preview shows nothing? Make sure you've created at least one location, and that it has fixed slots or working hours configured.
A slot is missing? Navigate forward or back to its date, check the slot's recurrence, and confirm you saved the location after adding it.
Times look wrong? Double-check the slot's start time and duration, and that your time zone is correct.
What Preview Doesn't Show
Calendar Preview shows your availability and your confirmed bookings, but not your personal Google Calendar events, booking quota information, or payment details. For a fuller day-to-day view, use the View Calendar and All Bookings tabs — see Managing Customer Bookings.
