You can download a copy of the personal information a business holds about you, and you can ask for your account and personal data to be permanently deleted. Both are handled from the Privacy & Data card in your account.
Where to Find This
Go to your Services page, open My Profile in the account menu (person icon), and scroll to the bottom. The Privacy & Data card sits below your profile details.
Downloading Your Data
The Download my data row lets you save a copy of the information held about you — your profile and contact details, bookings, subscriptions, purchases and reviews.
- Click the Download button.
- The button briefly reads Preparing… while your copy is put together.
- A file downloads to your device automatically. It's named
my-data-export-followed by today's date.
The file is a plain data file you can open on your computer. If the download doesn't start, a red message will explain what went wrong — try again in a moment.
Deleting Your Account
The Delete my account row permanently removes your account and personal data. This does not happen straight away — you're given a 30-day grace period so you can change your mind.
Requesting deletion
- Click the Delete my account button. A confirmation window opens.
- Read the summary of what will be permanently deleted (your profile and contact details, any saved profiles such as children, pets or students, your sign-in, and any waitlist places) and what is kept (booking and payment history is kept for the business's legal records, with your identity removed; payment records held by the payment provider are also kept where the law requires it).
- Type DELETE in the box to confirm.
- Tick "I understand this cannot be undone after the 30-day grace period."
- Click Schedule deletion.
Once scheduled, you'll get an email with a link to cancel, and the Privacy & Data card shows an amber note reading "Scheduled for deletion on" with the date.
Nothing is removed until the scheduled date. You can cancel at any time before then — click Cancel deletion on the Privacy & Data card, or use the link in the email. A matching amber banner also appears across the top of your account area with its own Cancel deletion button.
While deletion is in progress
On the scheduled date, the card changes to "Deletion in progress" while your data is removed. At that point the request can no longer be cancelled.
If You Use More Than One Business
Your sign-in can be linked to more than one business. If it is, the confirmation window tells you which businesses this request covers.
- If your account also has a relationship with other businesses, deleting here removes your data with this business only — your sign-in stays active for the others. To be forgotten by those too, request deletion from each of their sites.
- If you run a business through this account and are its only administrator, the window warns you that deleting your account also deletes the business itself — its website, customer subscriptions, bookings, store and team. Your customers keep their own sign-ins but lose access to that business.
Troubleshooting
The Delete my account button is greyed out Some account types have their deletion handled manually. The card explains this underneath the Delete my account heading. Contact the business's support team if you need help.
I didn't mean to request deletion Click Cancel deletion on the Privacy & Data card, use the link in the email we sent you, or click Cancel deletion on the amber banner at the top of your account area. Nothing is removed until the scheduled date.
My download didn't start Check that your browser isn't blocking downloads, then click Download again. If a red error message appears, wait a moment and retry.
